Accompanist Position, Liberty Choir UK

The accompanist must have a very good level of keyboard proficiency, play all styles of music with some ability to play by ear/improvise

  • Play for mixed voice choir sessions on a weekly basis
  • or as a Liberty Choir Sub
  • Accompany Liberty Choir sessions

[Learn music prior to sessions and be able to play sessions within the approved choral/piano style for the Liberty Choir program]

  • Experience working with choirs as an accompanist and/or director
  • Experience working across different styles of music
  • Good level of keyboard proficiency and ability to sight-read. Some ability to play by ear/improvise desirable

Administrative Responsibilities

  • Undertake all paperwork and training to obtain necessary security clearances to be able to work in prisons [handled through the Liberty Choir UK]
  • Personable and able to communicate with a wide variety of people from across the social spectrum
  • Punctual and well organised
