Acting Tutor, Bristol Old Vic Theatre School

Description

Bristol Old Vic Theatre School is seeking an experienced Acting Tutor to join its core teaching team in order to enhance provision for students on its acting degree courses.

You will be responsible for providing actor training to both undergraduate and postgraduate students, delivering a range of classes, workshops and tutorials face-to-face and online. Equipped with professional experience as both an actor and teacher, you will be comfortable teaching a range of acting practitioners and methodologies, in order to best prepare students for careers across theatre, film and TV.

You will be joining a tight and united team that celebrates diversity and the unique story that each of the School’s students has to tell. The ideal candidate will excel at building positive relationships with students and will offer a distinct voice within the Acting Department.

A sensitivity and understanding of the complex political and social challenges facing drama schools, and a commitment to being a partner in effecting change is particularly important.
