Calling all artists - Come & Join the Herd!, Keech Hospice Care - Big Trunk Trail - Wild In Art - Love Luton

Description

Until 16th November 2020, we’re calling on artists to create and submit vibrant and dazzling designs for over 30 elephant sculptures which will make up The Big Trunk Trail.

What an amazing spectacle it will be: a herd of beautifully designed giant elephants trumpeting along the free, fun and family-friendly art trail around Luton’s key landmarks, streets and open spaces, bringing together the community for one unforgettable jumbo event.

Every sculpture on The Big Trunk Trail will be decorated with its own piece of unique artwork – showcasing the wealth of artistic talent on offer in Luton and beyond.

The designs will be shortlisted before the final artwork is hand-picked by our sponsors and brought to life by the artists for display over 11 weeks in the summer of 2021. Any artist is welcome to submit designs – whether established or just starting out, from the Luton area or farther afield. Artists of successfully selected designs will be paid an honorarium of £900 upon completion.

Full details, a brief and submission form can be found at www.bigtrunktrail.co.uk/artists
