Freelance Creative Community Facilitator, Torbay Culture

Description

Torbay Culture and Torbay Community Development Trust are looking for an experienced Creative Facilitator to support a new test-and-learn community project in Chelston, Torquay, inspired by Arts Council England’s Creative People & Places programme.

Over the summer, the Community Development team have been talking to residents about what they love about their local area. We are now seeking a Creative Facilitator to take the residents on a journey - to build a consensus around their most valued assets, open eyes to the different opportunities available through the arts, and support them to commission an artist. Ultimately, the community will come together in a creative celebration of Chelston.

We are looking for an individual or team with experience in community engagement and broad knowledge of the arts/creative practices; someone who can engage and enthuse in creative ways and can stimulate ideas, drawing on experience from other places.

For full details including how to apply, download the brief at www.torbayculture.org/news/2019/9/10/seeking-a-creative-facilitator

Closing date: Monday 21st October, 9:00am

NB this is a freelance contract with a fixed fee of £1500 available.
