General Manager - Maternity Cover, English National Ballet School


English National Ballet School, official School of English National Ballet is a specialist training centre for aspiring and highly talented young ballet dancers aged 16 to 19. We transform talented young dancers into world-class performers over a three-year programme validated by Trinity College, London. In 2020 the School, will join English National Ballet, in a new purpose-built home on London City Island, Canning Town, and will finally have the physical space it needs to achieve its vision to be the the first choice for the next generation of international ballet dancers.

English National Ballet School is recruiting a General Manager for  maternity cover. This part time position will lead on the day-to-day management of all aspects of efficient and effective working systems for the School, its resources, premises and staff, creating a positive working environment for all employees and freelance workers. This is a varied role which requires an eye for detail and an ability to work as part of a team and under pressure.

If you have a strong background in General Management and excellent organisation, communication and teamwork skills we would welcome your application. Consideration to offering this role on freelance basis would be given.

Contract: Maternity cover for an initial period of 6-months with possible extension. Working 2.5 days per week on a 0.5 contract, to commence February 2020.


Place of work: English National Ballet School, Hortensia Road, London SW10 0QS.  ENBS will move to a new purpose-built home at London City Island in 2020.
