Head of Young Associates Programme, Open School East

We seek to recruit a Head of the Young Associates Programme to continue developing and fully implement Open School East‘s new, free, accredited (Level 1) arts and design programme for young people aged 16-18. The Young Associates Programme (YAP) is due to launch in autumn 2019 and will be piloted through a smaller programme with the same age group, between April and June 2019.

The successful candidate will continue the research and work started by the YAP Assistant and OSE team over the past year. For the first six months, s/he/they will firm up the partnership with the accrediting centre, build additional partnerships with local providers and facilities, develop a recruitment strategy for the Young Associates, manage the recruitment of the faculty, deliver the pilot programme, and input in and finalise the curriculum for the fully-fledged programme. When YAP launches in the autumn, they will be responsible for delivering, adapting and evaluating the programme, with the support of OSE‘s Activities & Events Manager. They will also work closely with a Quality Assurance Manager and will report to the Director.

Start date: as early as possible in first quarter of 2019.
