Learning Officer, Museum of Brands

£21,000 per annum
Hours: Permanent, Full time, Monday-Friday

The Museum of Brands, is looking for an ambitious individual to join a small and busy team as a permanent full-time Learning Officer. This is an exciting opportunity to join a young Museum, recently relocated to a stunning new building that includes a dedicated learning space. This is a business and strategy role and you will be responsible for marketing and delivering a financially viable education programme. This role will suit someone with an interest in the commercial potential of museum education. Main duties are to promote a range of learning products for audiences ranging from early years to lifelong learners and professional development programme. You will implement a rolling marketing strategy, covering website learning pages, newsletters, social media, leaflets and brochures, seasonal promotions, targeted mailings and building the learning contact database. Through recruiting and training you will build a strong volunteer team who will deliver the majority of taught learning sessions and assist with marketing and taking bookings. Our unique collection of original branded products ranges from the Victorian times through to the present day, and offers great potential for innovative learning opportunities in subjects ranging from packaging design to business studies. The ideal candidate will have previous paid experience in education and marketing (ideally in the cultural sector or similar), have a clear understanding of commercial activity, enthusiasm for managing a volunteer team, excellent computer skills, exceptional spoken and written English and great interpersonal skills.
