Participation Producer: Creative Cultures, Creative Scene

Description

Creative Scene is the Creative People and Places project in North Kirklees, West Yorkshire, funded by Arts Council England to invest in areas where participation in arts and culture is lower than the national average.

We are one of the 50 organisations funded to host a Weston Jerwood Creative Fellow - and are welcoming applications for the position of Participation Producer: Creative Cultures.

The post-holder will be tasked with making connections with young people in North Kirklees and, with support from the wider team, be tasked with devising of programme of events and activities that engage young people in our local area.

We would love to hear from you if you are passionate about working with young people and ensuring they have access to high-quality arts experiences on their doorstep. You will have an arts background or training as a creative, but we are particularly interested in your experience and interest in working with young people. This may have come from paid or unpaid work, maybe in a youth work role, or in a healthcare position or via a charity or local community organisation.

You may have good local knowledge of our area which is useful, but more importantly, we are interested in your knowledge of youth culture, current trends, and issues to be aware of when working with young people.
