Performer, Gecko Theatre

Description

Gecko is excited to be working on a film adaptation of their stage production Institute.

We are seeking a 60+ year old male performer to play the small role of the dying father of Karl / ghost, who is performed by Ryen Perkins-Gangnes.

The performer should be very facially expressive, and ideally would have a willingness to learn a few lines in German. The role will consist of falling out of shot to symbolise Karl’s feeling of loss and helplessness (see video on our website www.geckotheatre.com/casting-call) and a short movement based duet.

The performer will be required to attend:

  • 1 day of rehearsals /costume fitting in Ipswich in w/c 25 November (likely Thursday)

  • 1 day of filming on location outside Ipswich in w/c 2 or 9 December.

The fee for this engagement will be £200 per day.

Please send a CV, a recent headshot and any details of availability/clashes to francesca@geckotheatre.com as soon as possible, and by Wednesday 20 November.
