Personal Assistant/Support worker, John Kelly, Musician/Performing Artist


I’m a musician/performing artist and a Disabled Person, recruiting for a Personal Assistant (help with day to day living tasks and personal care) to support me live independently....exciting times/opportunities ahead!  

You will need to be a good time keeper, reliable, respectful of my privacy especially around  others, trustworthy, flexible, and motivated, this is a brilliant opportunity. Scope for additional hours and travel as you develop. Ideally it will be easy for you to get to me in the SW19/20/SM4 area of South London. 

Your role will be supporting me with every day living tasks in order to live independently. I am recruiting for regular support late afternoons and evenings, approx 16 hours/week, Mon-Fri. Bank/weekend (covering sickness/holiday) also available. Hourly rate: approx £10.64/hour (self employed or rate less deductions if employed by me).

The role is mainly based at my home till you are confident in how to support me (dressing/eating/regular life stuff)/learn how my equipment (musical & Independent Living) is set up. I also have some opportunities when I need a PA on tour/performances so stage/ music technical understanding is helpful/but not essential. 

I require 2 references & completed DBS. You must be eligible to work in UK (NI number and UTR if self employed). Induction/training given, so previous experience is not essential.
