PR Executive: Aviation/History

Fixed Term (6 months)

Full-time basis

£24,000 per annum
Colindale, NW London

The Royal Air Force Museum is a National Museum that tells the story of the RAF through its people and collections. It has three sites (London, Cosford and Stafford) and a trading company which supplements its funding which comes principally from the Ministry of Defence.

The Royal Air Force is celebrating its centenary this year and the RAF Museum is looking for a PR Executive, on a fixed term contract of 6 months, to support us in increasing our visibility with regards to media coverage and PR opportunities.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a media environment and have an interest in the history of the RAF or relevant research experience.

You must possess exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to proactively and confidently deal with a range of media contacts; pitching stories and responding to queries. You should also have experience of writing creative copy that engages with a wide range of audiences through a variety of mediums.

The post will be based in Colindale, NW London. Travel between the Museum sites will be necessary.
