Description
Bishopsgate Institute runs a learning programme for adults comprising courses, workshops, masterclasses and other classes. These usually take place at lunchtime and in the evening on weekdays, and during the day at weekends. We offer a broad programme – ranging from Performing Arts and Body & Exercise courses to Languages courses – and students come to us to pursue a particular interest, to build their confidence in a particular discipline, to meet like-minded people, and for personal and professional development.
Looking ahead to the Autumn Term 2018, we are planning to add speechwriting to our existing offer. We hope to be able to offer a taster session (ideally a short daytime session during the weekend), exploring some basic elements and principles, as a way of introducing this into the programme.
We are looking for a tutor to deliver this taster session, with a view to offering more substantial courses in the Spring Term and beyond. You will need to be able to demonstrate previous success teaching groups of adults. Our standard hourly rate for tutors is £32.
Please send expressions of interest to Simon Vickery (simon.vickery@bishopsgate.org.uk) by the end of Friday 27th April, including your CV, two referees, and an outline of how you would approach teaching this class.
