This is a temporary cover role (3 months), offering an exciting opportunity to gain experience in arts venue management.
The Attenborough Arts Centre is a public arts venue close to the city centre that is managed by the University of Leicester. With over 100,000 visitors each year the centre is a lively and vibrant part of the culture of the city and region. It runs a progressive programme of inclusive theatre, music, dance, spoken word and contemporary art exhibitions. It is part of the Arts Council England’s National Portfolio Organisations and receives regular grant aid.
The role will involve working with the FOH team and technicians to maintain high quality levels of customer care across all users of the service, whilst ensuring that the venue operates to health and safety standards guaranteeing that all courses and events take place in a safe setting.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the smooth running of the box office system acting as the co-ordinator between front of house staff, programmers, marketing and the service provider, managing expectations of both artists and audiences as diplomatically and sensitively as possible.
We are looking for someone who has previous experience of working in a customer focused role, and has the ability to carry out basic mathematical calculations. Previous experience of bookings system maintenance is desirable, but not imperative.
All enquiries should be made to Alistair Burns, on firstname.lastname@example.org or 0116 2522762.
