Description

Artspace at Bradford Cathedral

Community Art Project: Call for Expressions of Interest

Project Brief

Artspace at Bradford Cathedral is offering a commission to a practising artist in any field to engage with the Cathedral community and wider Bradford communities, in an art project in response to the Covid-19 pandemic. This is a unique opportunity to capture the variety of thoughts and experiences of Bradford people as we attempt to “resume” our lives whilst still experiencing the effects of the pandemic and, through a creative medium, give opportunities for reflection, remembrance and healing.

Timescale

This is envisaged as a five month project, from January-May 2021, and it will play a central role in the Cathedral’s commemoration events for the first anniversary of the Covid-19 pandemic, from March 2021 onwards.

Deadline

Please submit your application to artspace@bradfordcathedral.org by 12.00 pm Tuesday 3rd November 2020.

Interviews will take place in the week beginning 9th November.

Please see https://www.bradfordcathedral.org/whats-on/artspace/community-art-project/ for the artist brief, project background and details of how to apply.

For any informal conversation, please contact Maggie Myers via email: educationandvisitors@bradfordcathedral.org
