A thousand ideas, one amazing island

If you love new experiences, exploring beautiful landscape and unique work created by artists from across the globe – then please make your way to Portland this September. b-side festival returns for 9 days of art that shines the spotlight on the rugged isle’s intriguing history, geology and landscape.

This year b-side will take you on a journey around Portland, guided by artists and giving you special access to secret places and forgotten sites: experience light art in underground military tunnels, discover the newly created Portland National Park, or take part in expeditions into the territory of the Tophillians and Underhillians to view non-existent sites of real interest such as the giant emperor’s head, the O-Void, and Freemasons’ Tower!

b-side is known for working with artists to make art that responds to the unique landscape of Portland. After an international open call with over 400 applications to take part, the final selection offers a rich and varied programme of events to enjoy, spectate or join in with.

08 – 16 September | Isle of Portland, Dorset |
