Book Launch: Nigerian Crime Writer Stella Oni Deadly Sacrifice, This Too Is Real


Join British Nigerian crime author Stella Oni and special guests for an online book launch of her debut novel, Deadly Sacrifice, which will be published on Jacaranda Books.

The book launch will take place on Thurs 17 Sept from 6.30pm to 8.30pm and will include an introduction, author Q&A with editor, publisher & writer Kadija Sesay, plus readings of extracts from the book by the author.

Deadly Sacrifice is a chilling new thriller introducing Detectives Toks Ade, Philip Dean, and True Crime author Coretta Davis. When a child’s severed hand is found, DC Toks Ade and DS Philip Dean are put on the case. Thrown into a world of Nigerian traditional customs, ritual sacrifice, and international trafficking, they must find the guilty parties.

Stella Oni was born in London, brought up in Nigeria and lives in London. She works as a Business Intelligence Analyst. Stella is a cake enthusiast and an avid foodie who writes about Food, Culture and Tech on her blog African Britishness and on Medium. Her dream is to travel around the world to taste and experience food from different cultures. Stella believes that her experience of growing within two worlds has given her a unique perspective. Deadly Sacrifice, was shortlisted for the SI Leeds Literary Prize 2016. Stella is a member of Crime Writers Association and Crime Writers of Color.
