Description

Commuter Love, get all luvved up at London Transport Museum as we celebrate the month of romance with a new display of posters, the ‘Commuter Love’ Friday Late and a fabulous set of free online e-Valentine cards for you to send to the object of your desire.

Friday Late – Commuter Love: In 2010 Valentine’s Day falls on a Sunday. Get in the mood for the big day with our Friday Late Commuter Love evening. Join in creative workshop sessions run by The Make Lounge and design and decorate unique personal gift tokens with a special promise for your loved ones. Breakfast in bed, a romantic dinner for two or doing the ironing for a week - you decide and then create your special gift using fabric strips, buttons and paper to create your unique love tokens.

You can also join a special guided tour to learn more about the posters on display in the Romance of the poster display and awaken your senses with Isabelle Gelle’s bespoke aromatherapy workshops. Grab a Flirtini limited edition cocktail, enjoy Anthony Asquith’s silent film, Underground, and indulge in speed dating, Innuendo bingo and the Pop the question quiz before making your mark on our giant London Love map – which areas are the most luvved up and what suburb comes out on top? The Friday Lates are organised as part of the Museum’s Suburbia exhibition, which is supported by American Express.

Date: Friday 12 February 2010

Time: 18.45 to 22.00

Admission: £7.00 per person; £20.00 for groups of four; £15.00 per person wishing to join the speed dating (includes all activities and a free drink token for £3.00). Admission for over 18s only.
