Divergence Episode 2: Dead/Spinning/Star

  • North West
  • visual arts, Other, interdisciplinary arts, Digital Art

Inspired by COSMOS 2018 at the BlueDot festival, ambassadors for the project offer their own vision of interstellar exploration for the second part of Cheshire’s Divergence event.

“Dead/Spinning/Star” picks up from the COSMOS commission “Hidden In Plain Sight” by Addie Wagenknecht and a training seminar on Pulsars by Dr. Sally Cooper at Jodrell Bank, delivering a series of artwork covering Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, Projection Mapping, Illustration, Sculpture, Sound Design, Animation and QR Art all exploring the lifecycle of a star.

Featuring the work of Megan Evetts, Seth Jackson, David Lidster, Pod, Rockit, Kath Sage, Calum Smail, Kadie Waszkowycz, Babsy Keenan and Image LCat, this is a family-friendly event offering cosmonauts of all ages the opportunity to interact with the artists and art, learn about the technology and create their own spaceship and space scenes.
