Qigong energy meets Contemporary Dance dynamics – free sessions

Intercultural Roots present a 9-week course on Weds 4pm – 6pm starts 22ndJanuary.

Drop in participants welcome.

FREE SESSIONS: Please note these sessions have only partial National Lottery funding so a suggested donation of £10 per session is appreciated, but not enforced. Thank you.

These sessions nourish your inner-glow, vitality and essence, and show you how to emanate this feeling through movement. Suitable for all movement-based practitioners and anyone who wants to feel fully self-expressed and full of life!

When you use your Chi energy and express this through the energising dynamics of Contemporary Dance, what emerges is a body with expanded energetic potential.

Over the 9 weeks you will be guided through dance components drawn from Laban/Bartenieff, cellular breathing, floor work, release technique and Taoist Qigong “internal alchemy”, then combining these to allow the chi to move and to be fully present in mind and body.

Each session invites you to immerse yourself in natural dance movement while attuned to the continual shifting dialogue with your Chi energy.
