English Accent Workshop, Theatre Gym

  • East, Online
  • combined arts, film, interdisciplinary arts, literature, music, theatre
  • Tal Jakubowiczova

In theatre and film, different roles will need different accents.

In this workshop, you will discover the secrets of nailing some key sounds of different accents.

This workshop will be super practical.

You’ll get to make some sounds, “twist your tongue” and get the tools to keep on practicing.

We will focus on the Neutral Standard English(RP) accent.

We will work with characters and scripts from plays to put the accent into stories and context.

You don’t need any acting experience and you don’t need to be a native English speaker to take this workshop. Each student will work from where they are and we will all learn from each other.

Parts of this class will be recorded and you will be sent extracts which are relevant to you so you can keep on practicing with the advice you got from the teacher.

Saturday 24th October, Online
