Experimental Painting

5 June - 10 July 2020

Friday afternoons 2 - 5pm

A studio-based course exploring contemporary and interdisciplinary approaches to painting. This is an introduction to the 'expanded field of painting' where you will experiment with non-traditional painting materials and techniques.

By the end of the course you will be able to

  • Create paintings using a combination of traditional and non-traditional materials
  • Extend your knowledge of materials and techniques through experimentation
  • Explore alternative approaches to display and composition in painting
  • Develop an awareness of the ‘expanded field of painting’ in contemporary art

This is an online course, offered during COVID-19 restrictions. It will be delivered using Zoom.
