Fluidity & Freedom; Vinyasa Yoga meets Contemporary Dance, WAVE

Yoga & Contemporary Dance Workshop with Julie Havelund-Willett

Friday 27th September // 18:30-20:30 // £15.00

In this workshop Julie will guide you through a centering and grounding yoga warm up, followed by a freeing and expansive contemporary release class, before bringing you back to a calm state with a nurturing yoga and meditation cool down.

Julie's teaching is inspired by her multitude of movement practices, and this is a chance to experience the fluidity of Vinyasa, the creativity and vigour of Contemporary Dance and the stillness of meditation in one session, leaving you feeling rejuvenated and full of freedom in your body and your mind.

Julie is a Scandinavian, Hackney-based Dance Artist and Yoga Teacher. Alongside her work as choreographer, performer and dramaturg, Julie teaches Hatha, Vinyasa, Prenatal, and AcroYoga. Her practice is underpinned by somatic enquiry into discovering new kinaesthetic possibilities, a love of all things upside down and of moving with other people. Julie's yoga training is predominantly from India where she also studied yoga theory, and she keenly weaves yogic philosophy in her teachings.
