Life & Portrait Painting Course, Candid Arts Trust

This new life & portrait painting course is a fantastic opportunity to learn or develop painting skills while working from a live model.
Working from both the nude figure and clothed portrait set up, the course is aimed to allow you to develop skills and a more personal approach and painting language.
You will be guided through the different stages of making life paintings and portraits in oils using different approaches, using artist’s images as inspiration.
From compositional studies through to the finished paintings, proportions and structure of the head and body will also be discussed and demonstrated.
There will be an opportunity to work on the same painting for several weeks. Advice will be given about materials, brushes and suitable surfaces to paint on.
