New Space To Write Wednesdays & a concert!, Creative Writes

Space to Write Wednesdays

We are delighted to announce our new Space To Write Wednesdays! Giving our participants space to write is central to all of our workshops and we are often told how valuable this is to our writers. So we are providing a dedicated fortnightly space to write.

The first Space To Write Wednesday will be on 9 May, 7.30-9.30pm. Info & booking here:

In addition to guided free flow creative writing exercises, you will have the choice of developing your own work, at your own pace and taking inspiration from the resources Nichola brings along – which will vary with each workshop. For example; there may be images & objects; lists of topics for you to choose from, or even poetry.

There will be 4 separate workshops on offer and you can attend as many as you wish. Each evening workshop will be two hours long (7.30 – 9.30) at North Bank, Muswell Hill, N10.

To celebrate Creative Writes Year of the Story 2018, we are offering these workshops at the special fee of £25 each.

Creative Writes will be collaborating with NLB (North London Brass) Highgate & Muswell Hill Band.

The Band will be performing ‘Reflections In Brass’ at Highgate URC, Pond Square Chapel, Highgate Village on the evening of Wednesday 27 June 2018.

The concert will commemorate WW1. Creative Writes has been invited to work with them in the lead up to the concert.

During our Space To Write Workshops – in addition to the other exercises, you will have the option to write to music which the band will be playing at the concert. We will then select pieces that you may wish to read at the concert. The band will play the music to accompany your writing. There may also be a chance for us to send your writing to the band, so that they select music in response to your writing, to play at the concert.
