Photo Therapy symposium, The Royal Photographic Society

To celebrate Photo Therapy Day 2019 GRIFO Photo-Therapy Research Group 
and the Royal Photographic Society are hosting two events. On 22 May a symposium and on 23 Mayworkshop (bookable separatey) devoted to photo-therapy at RPS House, Bristol. The symposium features eight artists, photographers and academics from the field of photo-therapy who will discuss their work and approaches. They include: 

  • Ayres Marques Pinto, Semiologist, “GRIFO” Photo-Therapy Research Group Coordinator, Italy
  • Rosy Martin, Pioneer of Photo-Therapy. Artist based in London - UK
  • Massimo Mari, Psychiatrist, Responsible Mental Health Department ASUR – Ancona, Italy
  • Mark Wheeler, Principal Registered Art Psychotherapist, Nottingham Mental Health Service NHS Clinic
  • Neil Gibson, Senior Lecturer/Course Leader BA Social Work at School of Applied Social Studies, Robert Gordon University – Aberdeen
  • Jude Wacks, London-based photographer, storyteller, campaigner Self Injury Awareness
  • Professor Del Loewenthal, Director of the Research Centre for Therapeutic Education, Department of Psychology at the University of Roehampton
  • Marina Marques, Photographer, student at FABRICA – Benetton’s Communication Research Centre
