Space to Write Wednesdays. Next Workshop 23 May 2018, Creative Writes

Space to Write Wednesdays

Creative Writes

Giving our participants space to write is central to all of our workshops. We are providing a dedicated fortnightly space.

The first Space To Write Wednesday was on 9 May. Here's a comment from a participant:

"I had a lovely evening at Space To Write. It was friendly and relaxing, totally non competitive and we could write at our own pace. No pressure or critique. We also had the unusual experience of watching a local brass band rehearsing in the Church next door which was an added bonus. I'll definitely go again and I really recommend it to others as Nichola's such a good and patient teacher." NG

The next Space To Write Wednesdays is on 23 May, 7.30-9.30pm:

In addition to guided free flow creative writing exercises, you will have the choice of developing your own work, at your own pace and taking inspiration from the resources Nichola brings along – which will vary with each workshop. There may be images & objects; lists of topics for you to choose from, or even poetry.

To celebrate Creative Writes Year of the Story 2018, we are offering each workshop at the special fee of £25.

Full list of dates:

Creative Writes will be collaborating with NLB (North London Brass) Highgate & Muswell Hill Band. The Band will be performing ‘Reflections In Brass’ at Highgate URC, Pond Square Chapel, Highgate Village on the evening of Wednesday 27 June 2018.

During our Space To Write Workshops – in addition to other exercises, you will have the option to write to music which the band will be playing at the concert. We will then select the pieces that you may wish to read at the concert. The band will play the music to accompany your writing. There may also be a chance for us to send your writing to the band, in advance of the concert – so that they select music in response to your writing, to play at the concert.
