Cross Street Arts is a collective of professional artists based in Standish, North Wigan. Set up as a charitable organisation in 2004, we aim to provide, where possible, access to studio spaces and exhibition opportunities for professional artists.

Cross Street Arts currently has 16 studio based contemporary artists and a total of over 40 artists including associates. We hold group exhibitions; open studio events, artists talks and workshops and are interlinked with a network of arts organisations across Wigan Borough, Greater Manchester and beyond.

All of our artists exhibit locally and internationally.

As part of the collective you will be able to exhibit with us in group shows, make use of our gallery for solo shows and projects. Get updates and opportunities as part of our network and run your own projects supported by us.

Cross Street Arts is artist led with members volunterring their time when they can to assist the group. We expect members to assist with the running of the organisation where possible, through volunterring on open studio days or installs, helping with studios promotion, keeping communal spaces tidy or any other skills and time that you can bring.
