The Bhavan`s Summer School 2020, The Bhavan


The Bhavan Summer School is back!  Our resident teachers will be conducting three weeks of intensive training at the highest level available in the UK. If you want to improve your skills, knowledge and practical understanding of these classical Indian art-forms then these classes are for you.

JULY 13th - AUGUST 2nd

All classes will take place over ZOOM. We have been running live teaching from virtual classrooms since mid-April and the response has been overwhelmingly positive.

What will I learn?
Further details of each class are given below.  Teaching materials will be tailored to the abilities of the attendees.

Which class is for me?
We will be running three levels of instruction depending on your previous experience.

At least 2 years training

At least 2-4 years training

At least 4 years training, strong performers, professionals

Short Courses
These are generally for beginners or for those with less experience. See individual subjects below for details.

SUBJECTS - Bharatanatyam, Odissi, Karnatic Vocal, Hindustani Vocal, Bengali Music, Tabla, Mridangam, Karnatic Violin, Sitar, Spoken Sanskrit, Spoken Hindi, Vedic Chanting.
