Who’s it for: Emerging & professional actors wanting to develop their skills and find authenticity, depth and truth in their acting. This course is designed for people brand new to the work and for those who have experienced the technique but want to recap and refresh their practice. If in doubt, get in touch.

Knowing who to train with is hard so see what our actors are saying.

The course will cover the following exercises:
You:You Repetition
You:I Repetition
Three Moment
Knock at the Door
Independent Activity
Relationships
Breaking the Back of the Script
Text Analysis
Intro to Script Work

The exercises are designed to shift your attention from yourself onto your playing partner, specifically their behaviour, simultaneously bringing you into the present moment and freeing up your true responses: What your partner makes you do and not what you want or choose to do.
Each exercise tackles the varying layers an actor needs to access easily: "being in the moment" (Three Moment), the impulse to move (Knock at the Door), given circumstances and split attention (Independent Activity) and organic discoveries about the text you have to play (the final three exercises). Meisner's famous repetition is fed through each step of the way to assist you in learning how to remove your attention away from you and onto who you're working with.

Class sizes are deliberately kept small so you receive focused learning and individualised attention.
