Together Twilight Sessions: ways to keep singing during COVID-19, Together Productions

Together Twilight Sessions

Bringing a spirit of curiosity and openness to experiencing the world of singing

With COVID-19 posing continued challenges for singing together in person, there’s nothing stopping us from connecting and developing our skills and knowledge during the pandemic.

Together Twilight Sessions is a programme of workshops and conversations with internationally renowned vocal artists and musical experts. In 2020, Together Productions is bringing together a diverse array of artists from across the globe, including opera singer Kangmin Justin Kim, conductor and musical activist André de Quadros and Indian vocalist Ranjana Ghatak.

Inviting audiences to delve into a wide range of vocal and musical styles, the workshop and conversation series is designed for anyone curious to know more about the multi-faceted aspects of music, with a particular focus on singing and the voice. No prior musical experience is needed – just an enthusiasm to learn and participate.

These 45 minute sessions focus on mindfulness; activism; traditional Korean, Indian classical and Arabic song; jazz, pop and a cappella vocal music; and conversations on building a more innovative and equitable future for choral music.

Sessions take place on Zoom on Thursdays from 18.30 - 19.15 BST:

15th October: Korean Song with Kangmin Justin Kim

22nd October: North Indian Classical Song with Ranjana Ghatak

5th November: Arabic Singing with Merit Ariane

12th November: Exploring Song Queen with The Venus Bushfires

19th November: Gospel Song with Esther Toluwase

3rd December: A Cappella Song with Liz Swain

10th December: The Choral Commons with Andre de Quadros and Emilie Amrein

£7.50 per workshop

When five workshops are booked, audiences receive a promotion code by email to gain free access to the remaining sessions for October-December 2020. This means they can access the entire series for just £37.50!
