Writing: Idea Generator Workshop (online - 2 hours), 9th Nov, act up


Sometimes it’s hard to find the stories you want to tell.

This two-hour workshop will focus on idea generation. With a discussion and a series of practical exercises writer Laura Horton will take you through her methods for finding inspiration and creativity.

About Laura Horton

Laura is a writer and publicist.

Plays include: Giddy Tuppy, The Space; Bloody Men, Arcola Theatre as part of Miniaturists; A Summer of Birds, Plymouth Fringe; This I Believe, Theatre Royal Plymouth and Exeter Phoenix as part of Astor100. Her play Hidden by Things will be re-staged for a reading as part of Morgan and Abi’s Power Share. Laura ran Write Away, a ten-week course for new playwrights for two years, producing productions of the plays at White Bear and Teahouse Theatre. She has completed Soho Writer’s Lab, L Playwriting Lab and Morley College. Laura is currently running a creative campaign, Theatre Stories, to amplify un-heard voices. She has written journalistically for The Guardian, The i and Huffington Post. As a publicist she has worked for theatres including: National Theatre; Edinburgh Festival; The Yard.

9th November, 7.00 – 9.00pm (online) and costs £16 (£12 concessions)
