As part of the Morley Festival, the Student Council and Morley Magazine have organised a Planets themed poetry competition. Short listed poets will be reading their work, and winners will be announced.

As part of the Morley Festival, the Student Council and Morley Magazine have organised a poetry competition, open to students, staff and Friends of Morley, on the theme of The Planets. Short listed poets will be reading their work, and winners will be announced on the night.

Students from the College poetry classes will also be reading some of the work selected for an anthology The First Anthology which will be launched on the evening of the event.

Planet Poetry and The First Anthology will both be available for purchase.

Inua Ellams is the main judge of the The Planets Poetry Competition. He will be announcing the winners, and reading some of his own work. Inua's poetry publications include Thirteen Fairy Negro Tales and Converse All Stars (Flipped Eye) and The Wire-Headed Heathen (Akashic Books) and #Afterhours (Nine Arches).
