Storytelling for Places - #mylandmarks, Museum of Walking

Storytelling for places- #mylandmarks - is a practical hands on workshop on foot (a ‘walkshop’), along London’s famous Strand and the alleys and passageways that link to it.  #mylandmarks are podcasts for places (known as ‘placecasts’) that are hosted on innovative web app

On the walkshop you will learn how you can make your own#mylandmarks placecastsfor your favourite places, telling and writing a story in your own words, recording it on your smartphone (or sound recorder), editing it, and posting it to the Placecloud app platform, so that anyone can listen to you telling your Placecast story.  From Sunday 1 September, as part of Sound Walk Sunday as well as for the whole of September, you can add as many#mylandmarks placecastsas you wish. Joining you on the walkshop will be a couple of local experts who will introduce you to some hidden haunts, to demonstrate how easy it is to publish a#mylandmarks placecast, but we are really after your own stories of buildings, places or areas special to you.
