Queering the Art Classroom: Reading Group

Queering the Art Classroom is delighted to invite you to our reading group on the 26th of September at Sutton House, Hackney. Our session will be led by Diana Puntar, artist, whose work features in our new exhibition Queering the Art Classroom Collaborates.

Formerly NY and LA based, Diana now lives in London. They have taught sculpture at the Pratt Institute, NY and Cal Poly, CA. Their solo shows include MoMA PS1, Participant INC and Blackston Gallery amongst others. They have received various awards including two Pollock Krasner Grants and funding from the Joan Mitchell Foundation. Puntar currently has a solo show, Meat Rock... Rockers on view at The Schneider Museum of Art in Ashland, Oregon.

This session will start with a tour of our new exhibition Queering the Art Classroom Collaborates, and a discussion between QTAC and Diana Puntar around queer artwork and practice.

We will then be reading the chosen text together, so there is no need to prepare ahead of time, and copies will be provided on the night of the event.
