About the ‘Making It Work’ Shops

As work and life becomes increasingly blurred, we’re seeing the rise of the ‘side-hustle’, and increasing emphasis being placed on creativity and making. The ‘Making It Work’ shops aim to give time and space for people from all professions and backgrounds, to ask questions and listen and learn from others on similar journeys negotiating today’s work-focused culture.

Perhaps you listen to podcasts offering advice for aspiring entrepreneurs, or interviews celebrating their achievements and failures. It could be that you currently run a creative side-business alongside the day job, or one day dream to, but wouldn't even know where to start.

The ‘Making It Work’ shops hope to build a community in an open and family-friendly space, and welcome anyone and everyone to share their experiences, collectively celebrating what they’ve achieved and the lessons they’ve learnt along the way. Taking the form of a relaxed conversation within a group of like-minded individuals, each workshop presents the opportunity to gain practical advice for the steps ahead.
