Opportunity for Leeds early career artists, Unlimited Theatre

Unlimited Theatre are offering a young/early stage company of artists 12 months free office space (sharing with us at Yorkshire Dance) and bespoke mentoring in all aspects of company management.

Unlimited is a small company of artists and producers that in 2020 is financially stable, with an exciting programme planned through to 2023 and regularly funded as an Arts Council England National Portfolio Organisation. But it wasn’t always this way.

As a young company, Unlimited received opportunities that aren’t necessarily available to the upcoming generation of theatremakers. In addition to a residency position at the University of Leeds’ Workshop Theatre, Unlimited shared affordable office space at Aire Street Workshops and received company management advice from The Theatre Company Blah Blah Blah and Forced Entertainment. The generosity, support and kindness shown towards the company at the earliest stage went on to help shape them into the collective of artists that they wanted to and continue to be.

Unlimited have previously supported young or early stage companies such as Rash Dash, Made In China and Transform. Currently they are mentoring a new Leeds company Fragments and contributed financial support towards their first project.

This opportunity is aimed at companies no more than 2 years old who have at least 2 people working together. Applicants who fit this are invited to get in touch with Unlimited’s General Manager, Sarah Webb with any questions or queries. Further details on how to apply are available on the website.
