JAM on the Marsh has announced a new element to their annual multi arts festival on Romney Marsh (Kent). This year's festival will include a short film competition with public screenings at the soon to open state-of-the-art Cinemarsh, New Romney. The short film competition will be facilitated by Screen South and open to all residents of Kent and Sussex.
Registration is now open via www.screensouth.org, enabling you to sign up to the free masterclasses with industry professionals, and/ or download a production pack and enter the competition. You can enter the competition without enrolling for the masterclasses.
Your film can be shot in any genre, and be 5-10 minutes long. You must be a resident in either Kent or Sussex and to be eligible for entry to the competition, films must be shot on, and contain, identifiable shots from the Romney Marsh. The closing date for submissions is 5pm on Friday 5th June 2020 when the films will be judged by a professional panel. Selected films will be screened at an industry day and precede the arts features at Cinemarsh during JAM on the Marsh this July. There will be a prize for the best film and JAM on the Marsh/Screen South laurel awarded.
Don’t delay your registration for the 6 free masterclasses as places are limited to 12 attendees at each.
