LINK - a digital culture, creativity and wellbeing programme, Warts and All Theatre

Link is Warts and All Theatre’s brand new virtual programme of activity.

It’s aims are:

  • to provide an opportunity for children, young people and their families to connect with each other digitally.

  • to enable us to deliver our weekly Young Actors sessions to our current participants (and new ones!)

  • to support young people to gain their Arts Award

  • to LINK: UP nationally recognised artists with children, young people and their families through a series of masterclass and online Question and Answer sessions

  • to support the wellbeing of children, young people and their families during the COVID-19 pandemic, enhancing our community engagement and social action

Highlights include:

  • A new digital co-creation project with the 14-21 Young Actors entitled Project Herd. Participants will work with a writer and director to develop a brand new play which will be performed as part of our 2021 season.

  • LINK: UP - twice a week online Q&A and Masterclass sessions with nationally recognised artists working across all strands of the cultural industries.

  • Time For You - Free Digital Wellbeing sessions for parents and carers to connect, share and support each other during this uncertain time, facilitated by therapeutic arts practitioners.

  • LINK: Learning - an education driven provision for GCSE and A Level age students

  • An opportunity for all Young Actor participants to achieve an Arts Award, through our Virtual Arts Award surgery

  • PROPER Catch Up, a new monthly free hang out for Youth Theatre Directors and Artists working with Children and Young People across the world, to share practice, support each other and develop Links.

  • Subsidised bursary places to support families that may not be able to engage in our work due to cost.
