Drake Music, in partnership with Sound and Music, are hosting a cross-genre digital showcase day of new music from emerging Disabled musicians.

Making space within the industry for Disabled composers and creators, new voices and sounds that need to be heard.

This is the live launch for our 2019/20 Emergent: A Music Legacy commissions, funded by HMUK to support the artistic development of early-career Disabled musicians.

On Thursday 14th May we will celebrate the three music creators we have been working with this year: Robbie Ashworth, The Dyr Sister and Remi Fox-Novak.

11am - Listening Party (Zoom)

A collective listening experience hosted by acclaimed live artist Gareth Cutter (Drake Music) and followed by a Q&A with the Emergent artists.

2pm - Music Industry Roundtable (Zoom)

Join us for a round table discussion about digital accessibility and representation in the music industry. Featuring Emily Jones (Sage Gateshead), Dike Okoh (Musician / Drake Music), Delia Barker (Roundhouse), Rich Legate (Attitude is Everything), Sound and Music andyou, the audience.

4pm - Commission Premieres & Social Sharing (Facebook/Youtube/Twitter/Instagram)

8.05pm - Lockdown Livestream gig with Remi Fox-Novak (Facebook)

Arty party music from Remi, live from his house to yours. Get ready to dance!
