Things to know before you apply: The studios are a community and the heart of the foundation: we operate an open door policy here and love to show the VIP visitors your work, so if you can’t be there to meet them we’ll make sure they see your stuff anyway! You can see who’s coming in on the shared calendar. The studios are open 24hrs a day – and are leased empty so you can fill it with all the stuff you need to grow. Once you’ve moved in we’ll have a meeting to get a sense of what you want to achieve in the year, and an idea of how Sarabande can help. We welcome all ideas – nothing is too ambitious! Check out these case studies: Kristina Walsh, ROBERTS | WOOD, Leo Carlton.
Sarabande works best as an accelerator for an artist’s practise so we love it when applicants have had experience before coming here and very rarely accept anyone straight out of university or college.
Finally, we receive a vast number of applications each year with only 15 studios to fill, please do not be disheartened if this year isn’t your year and please don’t be put off applying again.
