‘Timeless Thames’ : Open Call for Artists, Musicians, Storytellers and Speakers

The Steamship PS is an artist-run Project Space located in ‘The Steamship’, a former pub in the heart of the historic Docklands in Blackwall – a venue that is more than a century old and embodies the ever-changing nature of the area. The artists of The Steamship Collective work and collaborate across a variety of disciplines and often draw inspiration from the River Thames and the Docklands, rich in history and unique heritage.

For Totally Thames 2020, The Steamship PS presents the event series Timeless Thames: art workshops, an art exhibition, and a music and spoken word night – each event documenting the metamorphosis of the River and the Docklands through time, showing them in a new light and bringing their hidden treasures to life.

For our Timeless Thames programme, we are looking for:

Visual Artists, Performers, Musicians, Poets, Storytellers and Speakers who, with site-specific artworks, engage with the local history and the heritage of the River Thames, as well as address modern and contemporary issues surrounding the Docklands.
