Applications close 31st July - Career Development Programme, Abram Wilson Foundation

The Abram Wilson Foundation’s Career Development Programme, supports talented and up and coming musicians though regular strategic support, coaching, access to industry professionals and live performances over 18 months.    

Who? Musicians in the early to mid-stages of their careers with a jazz background. We are also interested in applicants who are involved in supporting the wider eco-system of the UK jazz scene especially if they have a musical and / or music education background e.g. Women in Jazz and Church of Sound.    

What? Quarterly strategy and monthly coaching sessions, to support artists to develop a strategy and support plan; access to industry professionals and a minimum of one showcase opportunity during the programme.  

In return, artists support AWF’s arts education programme with paid opportunities positively impacting on the next generation. 

Who? Regular strategy sessions led by our chairman, Fred Bolza, former Vice President of Strategy at Sony Music for 10 years, now strategy consultant at Ivors Academy, Twitter and Founder of New Soil, which has recently signed Theon Cross, Ill Considered and Church of Sound. Plus, regular coaching sessions with our Founder & CEO, Jennie Cashman Wilson, to support planning and problem solving. Jennie is a certified coach with Relational Dynamics 1st. See Jennie https://abramwilson.com/abrams-story/

When? Mentoring sessions will start in September 2020 and take place over an 18-month period.  

Frequency of sessions can be agreed depending on needs but are a minimum of one 1hour coaching session per month and one 1.5 hour strategy session every quarter.
