The only French Fine Art Masters degree in England: The Margate School’s 'Art, Society, Nature' is announcing that partial bursaries are now available to support students.

The collaboration between The Margate School and one of the oldest art schools in France, the renowned École Supérieure d'Art et Design Le Havre-Rouen (ESADHaR) means that the French national network of art schools (ANdÉA) and its pedagogic approach is now opened up to British art education. TMS students qualify for free accomodation at the ESADHaR campus in Le Havre and Rouen as well as access to workshops and state of the art facilities. French language sessions feature as part and parcel of the course and students not only have the opportunity to collaborate with French students and artists but also participate in the School's community outreach programme and arts events.

The course is research and practice based, following the structure of the DNSEP (Diplôme National Supérieur d'Expression Plastique) to award the student 120 ECTS (European Credit Transfer System) setting it apart from a traditional MA.

The Art, Society, Nature MA is studied over two years. Students engage in Practice based units with a culturally diverse range of academics and creative professionals focussing on Sculpture, Video Art, Drawing, Painting and Photography and can make use of access to a brand new Photographic Darkroom, woodwork and metalwork facilities, 3D Printer, Laser Cutter and more.

Amazing, larger than average studio spaces measuring 3.5 x 2.4m allow you to continue to have the freedom of expression and to safely create work without the worry of being too close to others in an enclosed space. The course, which launched in October 2019, benefits from an intimate cohort and as a result the students can expect unrivalled contact time with tutors.
