Project Manager: Common Ground Development Phase, Norfolk & Norwich Festival


Full Time, Fixed term – 7 months contract
£36,000 pro rata, per annum

Common Ground – Young Leaders and Heritage in the East of England
Norfolk & Norwich Festival is delighted to have been awarded a development stage grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund to develop the Common Ground proposal towards the submission of a stage 2 application for a full three year delivery project.

Common Ground is a highly ambitious programme which seeks to enable young people from backgrounds of low cultural engagement to lead and develop new and exciting ways for themselves and their peers to engage in their local heritage.

The Project Manager’s responsibilities will include:

  • Produce a Project Business Plan, Management and Maintenance Plan, full Action Plan and Activity Plan for year one, Recruitment Strategy and other second round application materials
  • Appoint an evaluation consultant to establish monitoring and evaluation methodology
  • Survey heritage assets and themes in target locations for year one
  • Finalise Terms of reference for the consortium and delivery partners
  • Test Heritage Hack events at two key locations, Lowestoft and Peterborough
  • Develop and test links with Culture & Arts Leaders in Schools and Academies (CALSA)

Supporting this delivery programme is a regional strategic leadership consortium that will evaluate, influence and learn from the interventions. Our consortium partners include Share Museums East, the National Trust, the Wildlife Trusts in the target areas, and the National Trust and other creative organisations and others that work with young people. The Prince’s Trust will underpin the programme with a tailored ‘Get Started Heritage’ programme and young people will be able to complete Arts Award at the appropriate level to certify their efforts.
