Communications and Engagement Co-ordinator - East Durham Creates, East Durham Trust

Description

East Durham Trust is looking for an enthusiastic and appropriately, qualified individual to become a key member of the team delivering the East Durham Creates programme – part of a national initiative aimed at improving engagement with the Arts in areas of traditionally low participation.
 
The successful candidate will have a range of skills, knowledge and experience conducive to marketing, promotion and administration but most importantly will have a passion for widening participation and sees the value in what involvement with arts and culture can give people in relation to quality of life.
 
The role also includes overseeing a specific aspect of the project known as Cultural Hubs, which supports a number of Community Venues as they increase their capacity in hosting and delivering arts activity.

As well as being an area of low arts engagement, East Durham is also one of the UK’s most deprived communities and East Durham Trust is an established registered charity charged with tackling social and economic disadvantage.
