Programming and Scheduling Coordinator, Curve Theatre


Curve, Leicester’s state of the art theatre, is going through an unprecedented period of growth. With a significant increase in our productions and tours, alongside a vibrant programme of visiting work across art forms, it is an exciting time to be making theatre in Leicester.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual who is excited by the vision of the theatre to join our busy Producing, Programming and Touring team in the new role of Programming and Scheduling Coordinator.

The role will work closely with the Head of Programming in the planning and management of Curve’s visiting artistic programme, playing a key role in identifying further programming opportunities, the administration of visiting productions and maintaining the positive experience companies have while at Curve. In addition, the role will be responsible for the coordination and management of Curve’s varied and busy spaces. Operating as a vital conduit between internal departments and external companies, the post holder will work to maintain and develop existing systems to ensure the venue is used efficiently.

The successful applicant will have an active interest in the theatre industry. You should be able to work brilliantly as part of a team and independently and your skillset will include exceptional written and verbal communication skills, excellent attention to detail and a high level of computer literacy. You will be a quick-thinker, juggling numerous projects and deadlines and using your initiative to solve complex problems.

Due to the nature of the role the successful applicant will need to be flexible, adaptable, able to prioritise effectively and thrive in what can be a high pressure and high speed environment. Occasional evening and weekend working will be required.
