Translation Rights Executive (Book Department) – Two Vacancies, Curtis Brown Group Limited



Curtis Brown, founded by Albert Curtis Brown in 1899, is one of Europe´s oldest and most highly esteemed literary and talent agencies. Our agents represent many prestigious and high-profile authors, playwrights, film and television writers and directors, theatre directors and designers, actors, and television and radio presenters. In 2008, Curtis Brown joined forces in a co-agency venture with one of the largest agencies in the USA, ICM, to represent their authors worldwide excluding America.

We are looking for two energetic, creative and highly motivated Translation Rights Executives to work in the Translation Rights Department. These roles will be to support our Translation Rights Agents and handle deals in our co-agented Eastern European territories in addition to general administrative tasks for the department.

The ideal candidates will be highly organised, enjoy working in an ambitious team and will feel confident handling a high volume of work, including contractual details and administrative details. You will have keen interest in book publishing and the foreign markets, an understanding of digital and social media, and a sharp eye for detail. Knowledge of a foreign language is helpful but not necessary.

This role gives an ideal opportunity for an assistant to use their excellent administrative skills to discover more about international publishing, build excellent knowledge and contacts within the industry and work with an incredible stable of authors across the Curtis Brown and ICM lists.
