Arts Council England has vacancies on the South East Area Council, including one new member and two elected members from a Local Authority in the area.
We want our Area Council to represent the widest possible range of relevant skills, experience and background, and we are looking for individuals who:
have a strong knowledge of arts, creativity and culture, and commitment to promote the value of arts, creativity and culture in society
have a commitment to Arts Council’s mission – Great art and culture for everyone
have a strong knowledge and understanding of the Creative case for diversity
are able to act as advocates for arts, creativity and culture on a local and national level
are practising artists or have a specialist knowledge of;
a one or more art forms (for example theatre, music, libraries, museums, literature, dance)
other fields relevant to the creative industries, including education, regeneration, broadcasting, tourism, local or national government
have a knowledge and understanding of the South East area
live or have work interests in the South East area. Local Authority applicants must be an elected member within the South East area
Arts Council England interprets arts and culture broadly and welcomes applicants from across the Creative Industries, including candidates with enterprise and commercial experience.

This is a voluntary role, with expenses reimbursed in accordance with the Council Members’ expenses policy.
