Venue Sales and Events Manager, English Folk Dance and Song Society


Summary Job Purpose: Working closely with the Operations Director, the Venue Sales and Events Manager (VSEM) will be responsible for the effective development and delivery of recurring, commercial and charitable hires at Cecil Sharp House (CSH). This includes managing its administration, initial contact, event planning and co-ordination of operational delivery.

The VSEM will work with the Operations Team to ensure the smooth operational running of the venue as both a venue to hire and with its own public programme of concerts, family events and dance.


Salary:             £26,500

Hours:             35 hours per week, excluding lunch breaks, Monday to Friday.

Usual working hours are 9.30am – 5.30pm but evening and weekend work will be required from time to time

Overtime is not paid but Time Off In Lieu (TOIL) is given

Holidays:         25 days per annum plus statutory public and bank holidays

Pension:          Employee/Employer contributory pension scheme

Probation:        The post carries a 6 month probationary period.
