About the role
LB of Barking and Dagenham are looking to recruit an Events Supervisor. You will be responsible for the supervision and delivery of events at Eastbury Manor House, a Grade I listed Elizabethan building. You will ensure that guests have an outstanding visitor experience and help ensure Eastbury maintains its VAQAS standard of customer service. You will also be responsible for the attractive presentation of Eastbury, including a proactive and hands-on approach to protecting our Grade I listed building. You will work in a team of staff and volunteers and regularly interact with internal and external partners including the National Trust.
This role has a focus on heritage and this will underpin everything you do. You will be involved in larger projects including addressing the visitor experience and publicity for Eastbury Manor House. You will contribute to the content of our events program, while considering Eastbury’s spirit of place. You will be involved in supporting the changes and future of Eastbury Manor House.
Eastbury Manor House is a truly remarkable survivor in the heart of Barking. Listed Grade I, this house dating from c.1573 is a hidden gem that continues to surprise and delight its visitors. Today, Eastbury is home to a wide range of arts, community and heritage activities. A space for family and friends to celebrate life events, as well as a place for people to expand their horizons - like our previous tenant, John Moore, once did.
